It is common knowledge that because Floyd brought a lot of money to Las Vegas, and refused to fight anywhere except Las Vegas, that all rules from drug testing to ranking to basic safety rules are all bent or broken to accommodate Floyd and his easily separated dollars.
We all saw McGregor completely school Floyd for 3 of the first 4 rounds. Had this been any other circumstance this would have been a 4 round fight since it was McGregors debut and he never had an amateur fight. Acceptions are ONLY made in this rule when a fighter has extensive and highly successful amateur careers.
For example Olympic GOLD medalists like Oscar De La Hoya are allowed to start with 6 rounders as opposed to say an Olympic Bronze Medalist choke artist like Floyd Mayweather Jr who was so disappointing in the Olympics that for his own safety he was required to fight his first 2 professional fights as 4 rounders before proving himself in order to graduate to 6 rounders safely.
So back to the point...McGregor was only supposed to be able to fight 4 rounds. Anything after that is really an exhibition.
Bottom Line:
Conor McGregor UD4 Floyd Mayweather Jr
39-37
Can you handle it?
Excellent point.
If it was a 4 rounder. Conor won 4 straight rounds lmao
Anyone knows a beginner boxer (like Conor) starts off in boxing for 4 rounds as a novice becomes more attune to the sport. It takes years for a novice boxer to step in a 12 rounder. Years. Not days or months.
if may knew the fight was a 4rd'er, he would have fought differently.
wtf !
lol Floyd can't even get it. He was getting tagged every time.
It took Floyd awhile to solve the puzzle that's what happened. Have you forgotten floyd starts slow?? He was bewildered and got his head turned into a bubble head for most of the initial rounds. Credit is due where credit is made. Conor kept him at bay from a distance. Floyd may have figured him out in the later rounds when he gassed out, but as we all know Floyd really starts slow since, he tries to figure his opponents out. Which he did, but not on the early rounds. That was all Conor baby.

Not really. Floyd couldn't figure out Conor. Conor's range was a puzzle to Floyd, thus Floyd's poor showing.
Maybe if it was a rematch, Floyd can take it early since he already knows Conor's game, but if we are talking about the first ever game, Floyd got lost in translation figuring him out. Truth hurts, but that's what happened and the fact that Conor the novice lost due to gassing out more than getting overwhelmed actually lol

youre satisfied with pyrrhic ''victories''
im all about end results.
''if it were a 4 rd'er.''
Shussh these Floyd fan boys didn't realize Conor was a neophyte with no boxing experience. Your knowledge is unfathomable to these folks. Keep it down low. You might hurt their feelings. Seeing a noob do that to Floyd was cringe worthy. I couldn't even look. Floyd nutthuggers can't accept that,
Conor won even though he lost.
But if it was a 4 rounder. Conor did win. Take that to the bank.
