Its good for fighters to travel but this notion that AJ has to travel to the US is rubbish. The money for AJ is in the UK currently. If somebody wants his belts you’ll have to go over and rip it from him literally.

As for the matter at hand.
Well when it comes to building an athletic brand sometimes sacrifices need to be made. Joshua if he wants to get bigger in a market like America needs to fight there at least occasionally.
There are things they can do to mitigate it, like holding a fight in the afternoon or having the card start a bit early with Joshua opening the show (on the American end) so that the TV time sets up better for the UK.
They can make it work if they want and whenever they decide the time to fight Wilder (which will be in the UK) they will have want to have set up a presence in the US before that. They could do without that but being properly introduced before that fight occurs makes it bigger and makes winning it even bigger.Comment

Hmm, come to U.S. and maybe fill a 16k seat Vegas venue or fight in the U.K. and put 90K asses in seats?
Let's see how Wilder/Stiverne does Saturday. Even with a decent undercard. I predict Porter/Granados will steal the show and upstage the main event.Comment

Well Joshua fighting in Africa is a possibility, for one he is of Nigerian origin and he nearly fought at the olympics for them in 2008, so if they put the money up then am sure that would be entertained too. They have never said they wouldn’t come to America. But Joshua has such a pull in the UK financially that it would take a major pay for him to fight outside of the UK.Comment

That’s what so don’t seem to get, he doesn’t have to or need to fight somewhere else. All this crap about Lewis fighting in America is that rubbish. Lewis didn’t have the pull over here early on in his career. If the money is in America then am sure they would take their brand there.Comment

Although I want to see the Wilder fight next we won't.Hearn is a little afraid of AJ being wiped out and all the easier planed fights falling. His excuses is to put Whyte in as a red herring to bounce him off Wilder .This backfired Saturday ,Whyte was useless.
Hearn would put a massively over weight Fury in tomorrow but plays with the unbeaten fighter from USA.
Hearns game is not good for the real fans and boxing as the idiots don't know what they are buying .Lets face it Takam did better than expected but Hearn put it on at the same price as Manny and Floyd on uk ppv.
AJ shows are huge but Eddies gonna be surprised when his greed outweighs him!Comment

It would be cool to see AJ fight in Africa.
Something different and makes boxing 'global'.
The last card was disappointing but having stadium fights in the UK should lead to bumper cards of good boxing. Hard not to feel that the moment AJ hits stateside it will be AJ vs whoever with Santa Cruz vs a fisherman on the undercard or some such tune-up type fight. Also I don't think there is anyone is position to headline event of that magnitude other than AJ in the UK.
For selfish reasons as a British boxing fan more so than an actual fan of AJ I'm not too fussed about AJ ever fighting over there. Wilder/Parker/Miller/Ortiz/Whyte can all sell out stadiums, and do bring in enough cash in UK PPV to pay AJ and his opponent.Comment

I agree on Wilder not having to travel for Whyte but where will Wilder make $3-$4 mil in the U.S? Wilder is making $900 thousand for his next fight. The UK is where the money is for heavyweights .Wilder is a world champ he shouldn’t have to travel to England for Whyte, but to unify he should and Has said he’s willing, so as long as he takes care of his business Saturday, they should just do a spring showdown in the UK AJ & Wilder, no one cares about dillian
Eddie needs to stop spreading falsehoods, Deontay Wilder already acquiesced that AJ is the bigger name and draw and he would fly to England for him, what’s the problemComment
