AJ is the more fundamentally sound but I don't think he has what it takes to beat Wilder.
Too slow and ponderous, no real defense or even punch variety. He's a big, basic as you like robot with above average power.

I can't believe I am typing this but I really do think Wilder knocks him out.
You believe Ward would beat AJ so i'm not surprised you would write the above.

I really do believe from day 1 that Wilder beat Joshua, and nothing that I have seen from AJ has changed my mind.

A younger Vlad would've stopped him relatively easily.

For all of Wilder's flaws (he has many) he does three things really well; he can move (although the footwork suffers at times similarly to Danny Jacobs), he has a long stiff jab, and he has faster hands than every HW out there.

All of those things suggest he would give AJ serious issues. Especially with the way AJ gasses. Ive come a long way on this fight. 12 months ago, I thought Joshua would spark him easily. Now? I think first guy to land a big shot wins.
I think so too, real toss em up fight. AJ needs to come in the size kind of size for his fight with Whyte too.

Whoever lands the first big punch that gets the other guy in trouble is going to win.

That body-builder doesn't have the stamina to outbox anybody.

Both have the ability/power to lay each other out. I think AJ’s skill set is a level above Wilder but he has to dominate early in the fight and catch him with something big. Stamina may be an issue with either fighter as the fight progresses. Stamina is dependent on who is standing in front of you and the degree of pressure that guy is bringing your way. Klitschko was in excellent shape with something to prove when he fought AJ. AJ dug deep and did what he had to do to dominate. Does Wilder have that in him? Looking forward to find out if they make this happen.

So why is he 20-0? Luck?

His last fight was poor, but against say Molina (who gave Wilder problems) and Breazeale he dominated the fights.

He does need to lay off the weights as I don't see how it can help him.
