Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder: Purse split?

What would you expect the purse split to be?

If (as appears to be the case) AJ picks up Joseph Parkers WBO title also, would that widen the split? The Joshua vs. Parker fight may also crown a Lineal and RING champion.

Bearing in mind Carlos Takam got a 90/10 split, I'd say Wilder could expect maybe a 75/25? That could be around $10-15 million.

65/35 Joshua would likely be the ending split, but that'd be after you factor in all of the moving parts for the deal.

Parker's belt likely has no bearing anyway, as the unification is focused on Joshua and Wilder, with most folks not even caring about Parker.

75/25 seems fair but unlikely, 70/30 is more than Wilder deserves but more likely, 65/35 is already too generous but if Wilder fights Whyte maybe he can get 60/40, which will be like hitting the jackpot.

Where did you get the info about Takam getting a 90/10 split?

If Wilder demands more than 30% Hearn should call his bluff and offer equal terms: 90/10 to the winner. Wilder will completely forget about wanting to unify the division and will never be heard mentioning Joshua's name again.

Wilder deserves no more than 20%, he hasn't fought anyone, doesn't have a name in his own country and really just brings nothing much at all other than a green belt to the table.

I want to see the fight but you can tell Wilders entire career has been built around getting that one big payday to cash out on.

Hearn and AJ should call his bluff and challenge him to winner takes all purse or something like that, he'd have no part of it.

98/2 split for A.J., . Maybe 97/3 split if Wilder agrees to not shout "Bomb Squaaaaad!" more than 100 times during the fight promotion.

I think it'll have to be 60/40ish to get done. And with what Wilder has for his demands + Haymon with him & Hearn's desire to play ball + Joshua's desire to be "the champion" I wouldn't be surprised if they come to some terms that allow for equal pay with a winner's share being given (40/40/20, 45/45/10 for example).

Come on man do we gotta live in extremes all the time?!?!?

Wilder obviously isn't as big as Joshua. There is no debating that, but Wilder is for sure among the most watched fighters in the US.

He's been doing a mill for awhile & his last fight did a mill point 8 on TV. There aren't a whole lot of guys who are pulling those numbers so he's for sure worth more than 20% if a 12 day notice guy who idek what his average TV ratings are or if he even has average TV ratings is getting a similar cut.
