If I was Joshua I’d be more annoyed that Takam at the stoppage. He was just starting to catch him clean and looked like he might put him away that round.
To be honest if you watch the stoppage in one sequence it looks early, but in the context of the fight, with 10 one-sided rounds previous, Takam’s injuries, and that he’d started to not fight back as much, it wasn’t the worst stoppage. I think Froch v Groves 1 was worse, as it was a more competitive fight up to then.
Joshua neglected the body. Takam kept a high guard with the ear muffs all fight, Joshua should have been trying to break him down better to the body.Comment

Froch is only saying this because he was asked about similarities to the groves stoppage. Ofc he has to claim this was a good stoppage lol
Everyone else from macklin to jonny to bellew agreed it was a bad stoppage as did almost 78k that booed.Comment

Fight was definitely stopped prematurely ,you cheat the fans and more the fighters (BOTH ) when they pull shyte like this .
I dont believe Takam makes it to a final 12th rnd bell but the british boxing has to really come down on this bc this happens to often ,theres certain sports that need watering down and boxing isn't one of them .
At least wait until the rnd is over and stop it on cuts ,this just makes the U.K refs or whover over seas look foolish and incompetent !Comment
