meh, Takam's granite chin made the fight interesting, but it was absolutely a one sided affair and I have no problem with the early stoppage. If Takam actually had decent power I would be pissed at the stoppage, but unless Joshua had a Khan level glass chin, Takam at best would've taken the last two rounds, which still would've been a majority dec for Joshua. Yeah there might be su****ion that the early stoppage was to maintain Joshua's much hyped KO streak but whatever.
Still not impressed with Joshua, he's a robotic 5-6 round fighter.Comment

It's still a 50/50 fight, and all this fight did was confirm how even the fight is.
Maybe it's a technical thing that McCracken can fix, but Joshua has a hole in his game for folks to land that decoy/right hand (Klitschko was able to land with his feint/right hand, Takam was able to land his hook/right hand, and even Whyte was able to land in exchange). We'll see how he looks in the Stiverne rematch, but Wilder has a bad habit of pulling straight out when he's looking to defend/create space.
Put both together, and you've got a dynamite matchup.Comment

It was perhaps stopped a little too early but the ref obviously saw something from AJ’s last barrage that caused him some concern. As for the *****’s that think Joshua was spent; YOU NEED EYE SURGERY YOU EFFIN’ MORONS.Comment

What are you talking about? Good long heavy jab, good right hand, good lead hook, nice compact uppercuts, effective in tucking the elbows to fight inside, decent variety to the body, will effectively catch-and-shoot on the inside, high guard on defense.
Joshua has some bend to him (though could move his head better), but the biggest hole seems to be that his sheer size is posing stamina issues down the back third of championship fights.

Absolutely criminal stoppage. Heart goes out to Takam who deserved to go out on his shield. AJ was comfortably ahead, but we can add Takam to the growing roster of fighters who are better than anyone on Wilder’s whack-assed resumé.Comment

yep, but thats the one thing these weird ass wilder fanboys aren't saying.Comment

I just finished watching the fight. Reading these comments you would think Joshua was saved from collapsing in the ring because of exhaustion. Joahua outboxed a game Takam, dropped him, and was close to stopping him when the ref stopped it. Yes, it was premature but it was the beginning of the end for Takam. I still think he can beat Wilder because he's probably the only HW that could match Wilder in athleticism. It would be a close fight but I believe he can pull it off.
Finally, Joshua's stamina is still an issue but he's really good a managing fatigue. Some boxers get tired and never recover. He's shown in the past that he can recover even when he is on the verge of collapsing. He wasn't even close tonight.Comment
