Ridiculous. Im not saying Takam was going to win but they eliminate any chance he had there. The best chance he would have had is late on if AJ got exhausted, which he was becoming.

I'll say it now...unless you genuinely flatten Joshua, you're never beating him in the UK. The ref will find a way to stop you or probably get jobbed on the cards.

You can't really use the "get exhausted" card when Takam was already getting tired himself, and he had serious cuts over both eyes with Joshua landing his jab at will.

To that, you can also add that Takam had already hit Joshua flush with his money shot to no major effect.

The Joshua-Klitschko official cards seem to be in line with the range for the fight, so I'd hold off on going with the "cook the books" arc.

Still, the UK referees are now suspect to me, especially in the big fights; their seeming insistence on stopping fights early (yet seem to give the Brit a fair shot to continue) is reason why most fighters are still leery of fighting in the UK, every in this boom period.

Fight was stopped way too early the action was heating up then...... womp womp... You guessed it a premature stoppage.. when fighters are exchanging like that let it keep going until one fighter is no longer throwing back!!! You don't stop it when a guy still has his wits about him!! Joshua was gonna win anyway but at least let Joshua drop him or let the Takam go out on his shield!! What do you mean by a lot?.... I saw Takam land like maybe 4/5 decent punches to AJs head, most of his good work was to the body. All of those came from slipping on the inside so tell how that means Wilders windmills will find the target??

I never said AJ was definitely going to tire and Takam was going to take over. I simply said they removed any chance that it could happen because AJ wasn't dominating and in total control, thus giving Takam no real chance at all.

Joshua landed one shot and a few grazing shots in a flurry and it was worthy of a stoppage? - the ref couldn't wait to get in there all night and stop it.

At the end of the day, they will do all they can in favour of Joshua when he's not totally dominating, that much was evident tonight and will be from now on.

Put it this way, if Joshua was on the end of those shots, the ref would not have jumped in. That's the difference.

his conditioning is complete **** man. it makes him so venerable. and all he does about it is eat more lift more and gets bigger. am i in the twilight zone? he needs to stop eating all damn day........

Joshua's conditioning is fine; his issue is that he's too darn heavy; 254lbs is simply too much mass on the frame.

Avoid the weights for a while, and get the frame down to 241/243lbs, and work at keeping it there.

In a perfect world Anthony Joshua likely fights at 235lbs or so.

I forgot about Takam being a late replacement!!! Not even a full training camp and that guy was super competitive for only two weeks notice. I expected him to last maybe 5. But Takam proved himself to be a warrior!!
