  • Comments Thread For: Dillian Whyte Dominates Robert Helenius in Lackluster Bout

Principality Stadium, Cardiff - For the vacant WBC silver heavyweight title, Dillian Whyte (22-2, 16 KOs) won a lopsided twelve round unanimous decision over Robert Helenius (25-2, 16 KOs) in a lackluster bout. The first round was close, with neither boxer really getting off well. Helenius landed a big right hand that Whyte was able to take in the second round. Helenius became relaxed, started jabbing well and landing good right hands. He was able to shake Whyte up in the closing seconds. In the third, Whyte was having a much better round as he pressed the action and was letting his hands go.

I completely changed my mind about Wilder vs Whyte based on the Helenius bout. Wilder would destroy Whyte early. Even a non ambitious punching bag Helenius hit and hurt Whyte.

Helenius is a stiff. After the 2nd rd he barely threw any punches . He is descent power but I don’t know if he is fast enough to beat Wilder .

Helenius didn't even come forward, just ran around for 12 rounds. Whyte still gives Wilder problems

Whyte looking pretty ordinary but since he has a big mouth and from England that means he’s a top level fighter.

Helenius is a strange guy. He has the skills and power to stop Whyte but waited until Whyte recovered after he got hurt. Maybe a fixed sparring session when Helenius had zero ambition to win and he is not a journeyman based on his record.

Duhapaus blew this guy out in 6 the 1st time around.

People thinking he poses any threat to Wilder are deluding themselves, he's only hyped up because Joshua beat him.
