    Teofilo Stevenson (who shares my christian name) has some claim to being the greatest amateur ever - certainly he was considered so in 1980 when I first watched Olympic boxing broadcast from Moscow Olympics and for me he's one of the guys that helped kindle my fascination with the sport... he seemed unbeatable then, but of course he had his kryptonite too... the name of Igor Vysotsky may not go down in the annals of amateur boxing history, but he lays claim to having beaten Stevenson twice unavenged - once by KO.

        Yeah, I grew up watching him. Stevensons flaw was if you got inside his long arms he couldn't fight inside. Vysotsky was just one of those tough guys. Unfortunate to see that he cut easy.
