Comments Thread For: Liam Williams Believes Liam Smith Intentionally Blew The Weight

Bitter Super-Welterweight rivals Liam Smith and Liam Williams rematch in an Official WBO World Title Eliminator at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on Saturday 11th November, live on BT Sport and BoxNation. Smith won the first fight eventhough Williams was leading on all the cards.

Smith likes to fight a phone boot type of fights so Williams needs to outbox him to avoid head butts.

I still can't see why Williams's British title's not on the line.

This is an official WBO eliminator so unless Smith plans on boxing only at 160 in future making weight here is a must. As to the fight itself, the situation is similar to a feud sixty years ago when Cardiff sharp shooter Phil Edwards twice got ground down and stopped by Terry Downes in memorable scraps for the British middleweight title. Williams can outbox Smith, as we've already seen, but can he hold him off all the way. I doubt it. Definitely a fight not to miss, though.

Williams outboxed Smith in the first fight and I think the extra 2lbs helped him, he's too big for the weight and if he gets down to 154 he will be soundly beaten again.

Smith is doing a Kell Brook and trying to be a weight bully. Williams will win convincingly if Smith makes the weight.

An eliminator? One of two since the title will soon be vacant, right?
