He already is a star. He's been to Africa twice on humanitarian missions. Regularly visits children in the hospital. Runs his own boxing gym in the epicenter of drug and gun violence in North Omaha. All this and more with an illustrious professional career. Sells out the Century Link Center in Omaha, Nebraska and an hour down the road at the Pinnacle Bank arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. How many of your stars do that? After being black balled from the U.S. olympic team which had so many 'better' boxers than him.

The head of the Nebraska Football team strength and conditioning coach would beg to differ. Bud is one of the most competitive guys he ever met. He teaches him a lift and he nails it in no time. All Terence knows is work. He's been plotting on 147 for a long time. Coach calls him the best athlete he has ever seenCrawford has skills but I have to wonder how another jump in weight will affect him. Moving to welterweight also presents a big challenge as it seems the division is much more talented than the junior welters. Horn will be a good test for him, especially if he is forced to go down under where Horn will hold all the cards.Comment

Being a local star and being a star on a national or world stage is two different things. At present, he is not a PPV attraction, probably couldn't sell out a venue in Vegas without an elite level opponent or great undercard. He already is a star. ... At 140lbs, where Crawford basically had all of the leverage (with Broner and maybe Omar Figueroa Jr as the only 140lb fighters who had big enough profiles to fight elsewhere).
That is not the case at 147lbs. Thurman, Danny Garcia, Errol Spence Jr, Shawn Porter, Kell Brook, Amir Khan, and others are already on the money without Crawford.
Crawford will fight three bums on ESPN, in an environment that the public won't really stand for Top Rank pissing on your leg and calling it rain.Comment

You really are a dumb **** who needs things spelled out. Maybe I should type slower so you can keep up.
Crawford can fight in every country around the globe, it still hasn't elevated his popularity. This is why he is so desperate to get a fight with Pacquiao. It's the only way to get his name up in lights and some exposure to the casual fans outside of Omaha Nebraska.Comment

Doesnt everyone need a marquee win to become a huge star like pacquiao or mayweather? Tell me who he could have fought at 135 and 140 that would have made him a global star? He pulled in big viewers on hbo and hes pulling big numbers in on espn. Fighting guys like gamboa, burns, postol, indongo ect. Unlike pbc fighters hes willing to fight high risk low reward fights. He cleared out both divisions and he will continue doing the same at 147. which will elevate him to that status. Keep hating all you want crawford is taking over the gameYou really are a dumb **** who needs things spelled out. Maybe I should type slower so you can keep up.
