Comments Thread For: Povetkin-Hammer Winner is Likely Mandatory To Joseph Parker

According to Erol Ceylan, the promoter for heavyweight Christian Hammer (22-4, 12 KOs) of Germany, the planned fight with Alexander Povetkin (32-1, 23 KOs) will indeed become a final WBO eliminator for a world title shot at Joseph Parker. A few days ago, the promoter for the event - RCC Boxing Promotions executive director Alexei Titov, basically stated very similar information. The event would take place on December 15 in Yekaterinburg.

The WBO just solidified themselves as being the worst sanctioning body for letting this criminal fight for a belt.

Parker better sign to fight Josh so he can cash out before he has to fight the Russian.

Pedvodkin will beat pedestrian Parker easy and for little money gained.

If I was a boxer I really wouldn't even want the WBO belt, it's kind of like an off brand title, it's like yeah I couldn't afford the Nikes but yeah I got these sweet pair of keds instead.

Again, people talking about PEDs without knowing **** about what they do.

lol, Povetkin was popped for a drug that was 100% legal, in either case, suspension lifted.

It was not like Streroids which Ortiz was popped for the first time... or hell, about out Floyd and his IV injections?

Everyone in boxing is on something. In either case, Povetkin was tested clean in all other tests, both before and after those one offs, which were for micro amounts.

They want a showdown with Parker in July 2018? Considering Parker fought his last mandatory late September there's absolutely no way that Povetkin/Hammer get mandated for a summer fight next year, surely? That'd only leave time for 1 voluntary/unification.

The WBO is why we will never have a unified Champ in any division again. Crawford will be the last one for years.
