Comments Thread For: Coldwell: Joshua Should Face Parker First, Then Wilder

Veteran trainer Dave Coldwell believes IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs) should first unify with WBO champion Joseph Parker - and then face WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) for all the marbles. Joshua is back this Saturday night in Cardiff, when he defends his titles against late replacement Carlos Takam.

he’s come over and beaten a Brit in Hughie Fury all be it controversially, but he’s a commodity he’s known over here, and he also wants to fight over here. He’s had enough of boxing in New Zealand where he’s in a little pond; he wants to get out into the big ocean and right now Anthony Joshua is the biggest name in boxing," Coldwell told Betsafe.

Wilder is the one that should be going after Parker

            You are right Coldwell
            Joshua vs Parker
            Wilder vs Whyte

this will add some weight and make Joshua vs Wilder the biggest fight.

Now that Joshua represents such a big payday, they'd probably rather just wait their turn for a shot at him rather than risk losing to each other and losing the Joshua fight

Makes sense ,i dont even want Wilder to fight anyone after Stiverne . Let Joshua clean house (we all know thats whats going to happen anyway ) sit back and wait for Joshua after your Mando bc i dont want you to lose ,hopefully he ignores Whyte as well and raises it to 8 million . lol

Im going to thoroughly enjoy Joshua steam rolling you . Probably only once bc you have already mentioned retirement with Stiverne (lets hope you get by that one )

Really you might as well go for worst resume in history as HW champion at this point , i think its hilarious that 6'7 (O.K ) boxer who can punch has ended up like this nearly 40 fights in and in the time span itself when you turned pro .

I think matches with Wilder vs Fury or Whyte / Parker should happen regardless but they probably wont ! Lets keep this in perspective hes never fought anyone at top 10 without exception of his Stiverne title fight . So yea fighting a Champion one would hope hes a top fighter at THAT time . lol
