Comments Thread For: Joshua: Takam Has 'Cement Head,' Will Last at Least 10 Rounds

Anthony Joshua expects to extend his knockout streak Saturday night. The unbeaten British knockout artist still expects a relatively long fight against Cameroon's Carlos Takam. While confident in his superior power, Joshua realizes Kubrat Pulev's replacement is a tough opponent who will be able to take a lot of punishment when they fight at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales (Sky Sports Box Office; Showtime).

Classic Mayweather move lol start selling your inferior opponent when fans notice the mismatch.

    Should've just said, "he's a tough competitor"

Three rounds, boy. I'm givin' you three rounds to finish this chump.

If you let it go past that, you are worse than Tyson Fury.

Be good to see it go late to see how his stamina holds up and maybe if Takam can land a big shot and see what effect it has.

All heavyweights get hurt and AJ has looked like he was boxing underwater against both Whyte and WK until he recovered and in the case of the Wlad fight got his second wind. He gutted it out but he definitely 'stayed hit' in both fights.

I know it seems like a line has been drawn in the sand on this site with AJ and Wilder. But part of the appeal of AJ is that he has shown vulnerability and shown heart.

Takam has only been stopped once, and has a big KO record. How can you say a legit top 10 is inferior? I rate him better than Pulev on opposition and ko record.

Don't be shocked if this goes 12 or Joshua goes down. Joshua is overrated and Takam is underrated. People thinking he can walk through guys like Takam after 1 good performance and opponent make me laugh! A fight where he gased and hit the canvas no less.

Takam has that relentless pressure style. This is a banana-skin for Joshua as I have rated Takam highly on here for a while.

This "my opponent doesn't such as much as you think" angle to promoting a fight must work more often than not cuz everyone is doing it.

Joshua used to be a brick layer so laying out cement should be routine.
