Don't be a simpleton. He simply said he wasn't going to chase the 3M by taking an unnecessary risk in fighting Whyte in the UK. If Hearn makes the offer 7M then the reward outweighs the risk of the chase.

Reading is fundamental. I never said "too risky". I said the risk didn't outweigh the reward. For Wilder, notwithstanding losing, risks include injury (biceps and hand) and cuts.

But just from the low risk high reward position, I cant completely understand why he is so dismissive about facing Whyte.

Career high payday, average opponent and THE opportunity to make himself known to the british audience, which will lead to a megafight against Joshua.

Right now Joshua Vs Wilder is still a big fight, but nowhere as big as it could possible be.
