Comments Thread For: Abel Sanchez: Dorticos Can Punch; Let's See If He Can Take One!

NEWARK, N.J. Abel Sanchez respects Yunier Dorticos' power. Murat Gassiev's trainer is looking forward to finding out how well Dorticos takes a powerful punch, though. Sanchez doesn't think Dorticos' chin has been tested the way the hard-hitting Gassiev will check it when they meeting in the World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight semifinals sometime in January.

    Dorticos will also chin-check Gassiev.

Gassiev will be exposed to Cuban boxing.

Dorticos is flat footed and nothing about his style resembles Cuban school.

Dude thinks that Dorticos fights like Rigo and Lara or something

Funny thing is - I actually see Murat winning a decision.

This is a good fight. However, I don't rate the fella Yunier Dorticos made mincemeat out of. What's his name? Big Russian nub that looked like Keith Jardine? Murat Gassiev looks like a bit of a tank.

I don't see anything special about Gassiev either..He just fought an old man who kept moving backwards. He will be facing a taller, forward coming explosive puncher. We shall see!!!!

Gassiev showed his defensive limitations against Lebedev but who cares. He is 24 years old with vicious power, seems to have a good chin, and constantly puts on pressure. At his age, that style is going to work and he shouldn't change it. This could be a great fight.
