    • Ugh, this dude just wants an easy payday. So obvious.

If he wants to fight that bad, he should fight the one guy who wants to fight him in Kell Brook or STFU

and you trippin'....there was a lot of ppl (not just pakistanis') who saw khan as a style matchup that floyd hadn't been in there with in years, and unlike pac, marquez, shane, cotto, zab, etc., khan not just had speed, but actually would have had some height and reach advantage on floyd...nobody is saying khan would hands down beat floyd, but it might not have been the walk in the park these floyd boys are making it out to be...
          ---------------------------------------------------------

Floyd was a free agent at that time and I assume you understand the power of a sanctioned belt (at that time). Floyd wanted to fight Oscar but he brought nothing to the table except his undefeated record. He needed those belts.
Zab, despite his loss to Baldomir still had a belt since Zab couldn't afford to pay the sanctioning fees. So Floyd fought both Zab and Baldomir.

Also, and this is the most important fact, Cotto and Hatton both refused to fight Floyd at 140. Both of them said they weren't ready to fight a guy that was coming up from from 135. This is something both fighters have confirmed recently.

The real question to ask is why did Pacman fight Mosley right after Mosley had lost to Floyd?
Why did Pac fight Brandon Rios right after Rios had just lost to Alvarado?

How is Pacman fighting BUMS after BUMS and people still think he had a shot at beating Floyd.

As for your boy Khan, how come his fast hands couldn't beat Canelo or Garcia or Prescott? How come he struggled against Algieri and Diaz and even Maidana?
Where was the "fast hands" you guys keep bragging about??

            • What makes people think Khan could beat Floyd? Garcia and Canelo were able to time Khan. Why would Floyd not be able to?

i see why floyd gets sh8tted on for having an inferior resume to previous all-time greats from any era...

the excuses made for fights not being made, and whose worthy/not worthy is endless...

khan was/is no better or worse than maidana, judah, marquez, pac, ortiz, cotto or guerrero in my book, but don't worry, a captain sav-a-floyd will sit here and justify it...

                  • It's too bad Canelo didn't put Khan in a coma. Then we wouldn't have to hear Khan's garbage.

One can make any kind of accusations towards any fighter and use whatever excuse they can find. Most of the times the hatred or dislike comes from their own personal perception or imperception (if that's a word).

People like to draw comparisons from different eras and I hear hogwash like Sugar Ray Leonard or Hagler or whoever is better than Floyd. So I did what any sensible human being would do - I went to Youtube and started watching Sugar Ray Leonard.

Just watch his fight against Floyd Sr and tell me if you don't call that "running" - the first four rounds. I don't call it running but to those that accuse Floyd of running or anoint Leonard the King of WW, either they are blind or just hateful people. Ray "ran" in many of his fights. Again, to me, that is NOT running.
