And that opening round is a mfer when schedules are made months in advance. I mean how many times has a premium network put on 8 fights in 8 weeks? And that's when all or some of these guys were there own fighters I imagine.

This needed a heads up and some good side programming, face offs, 247's and that sorta sh^t and the time everything came together was just too small for that to happen on top of the schedule problem.
They actually have they're own side programming which for some reason they put up on Youtube late, after the fights are over. That's probably because of rights issues but it's not great anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Don't the networks usually help out producing those show though?

I don't mind there being a regular season with regular fights personally. I agree I don't see why they've done that now, but maybe it will be the norm one day.

It's a shame but no one is really to blame. The CW scene is not big in the states. This will help. In fact, it's already helping.

I've heard sometimes they do and just get reimbursed on the back end, sometimes they don't.

But that 8 cards in 8 weeks part is the real schedule buster. I mean even many interested parties probably couldnt block off 8 straight Saturdays with so little heads up time as the Wbss gave them.

Next year the should do double headers over the same time period. 4 dates in 2 months is more reasonable a time frame.

Richard Schaefer did not organise this. He was the last person brought in. Sauerland and Comosa organised it. Sauerland was also the driving force behind the Super 6. Schaefer was brought in later to use his supposed connections in the USA to line up TV and press,... something he has failed miserably at. None the less, Shifty **** will take credit for inventing the tournament.

No one cares about the guys not good enough to be a top lhw. That is all cws are. Everybody knows it. Not good enough for lhw or hw, so they go to this made up division. Its like the D-League in basketball or the minor leagues in baseball. I mean, yea, its cool and all, but its still not the best. That is why they made the cw division. Give the second stringers a chance to fight on the undercard of some real fighters in real divisions and get decent money. Maybe talk your way into a big payday at hw. It is just hard for cws to move up and fight guys as big as Wlad or AJ, especially now with all the real ped testing. No more Holyfields.

... in fact, Schaefer is trying to sell these fights to the U.S. TV networks, right?

The cruisers weights to be held in Saudi Arabia ...lol that's like a trip to the dentist in iceland . The truth is there's so many people who think Schaefer is a snake and don't want to be involved with him. These tournaments should be an ideal time to show just how pathetic these 'governing bodies' have become with their silly rankings and maneuvers and have the best fighting the best .If done properly by a decent human being there might be some milage here but Richard Schaefer i'm not sure.

                      ... right...

... Schaefer is just exploring new "business models" for boxing... in case he is falling through, he will have to re-align with the "conservative" ones...
