Pulev with ultimately replaced by Carlos Takam (35-3-1, 27 KOs) on twelve days notice. Joshua and Whyte have a long standing rivalry. Whyte defeated Joshua in 2009, when they were both amateurs. They collided in the ring in December of 2015, with Joshua getting rocked early on, but storming forward to stop Whyte in the seventh round.

AJ should be ashamed to admit he wanted such a crap fight.

Not that fussed about this rematch.

Takam is better I think and will be a tough, aggressive, a solid unit and put him on the back foot.

Good prep for Jarrell Miller too who I think will become a major player in the division.

Look at him building up an old ass journeyman to make Joshua look good.

I think it's a good trade fight. Takam is tough. And will cause issues I think.

I am not a fan of AJ like a few of you boys in here seem to be of Wilder.

At the end of the day if he got sparked by Takam I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. AJ doesn't pay my bills and he's a multimillionaire and these are heavyweights. It happens all the time.

By the same token. I'll always tune in for AJ fights from now until he calls it a day. Exciting heavyweight who is generous with his undercard

            AJ is good for
Takam used to be tough back in 19who-gives-a-****.

Right now he's just an old punching bag.

Whyte would never take this fight on such short notice anyway

Realistically they want Wilder to KO Whyte in front of the british public, that would make his fight with AJ sell more, but if Whyte end up losing to Helenius then that door shuts.

Not sure how it makes anyone a moron for wanting to see Wilder and Joshua asap. Why must a fan care about a fighters purse or how much a promoter makes off a fight? So fans must accept the Hearn plan? That only benefits him.
It will be infinitely bigger if Wilder fights Whyte in the U.K on Sky Sports PPV (Sky promote their fights and play ads during the football, reaching millions of people).

It would be a huge event and Wilder would gain many fans and become known around the world (Sky are in numerous country's) with a victory. Hearn could then charge more for tickets and TV rights in every country and make millions more than if Wilder and Joshua would fight in the U.S or in the spring, like 10's of millions more.

This is so basic and easy for me to understand that I have to think any one arguing against it is a moron....I apologise.

What you speak of can be done easily by Sky Sports picking up Wilder Stiverne and broadcasting it, with the fight being promoted as a showcase of Joshuas next opponent. Unfortunately, that doesn't allow Hearn to make money off Wilder twice.

They do have the fight, I'm not sure the British public will be staying up until 5am to watch Wilder vs Stiverne though. Won't get many viewers to be honest.
