Who is the faster puncher between the two? At their maximum speed, on average and overall.

I voted for Gary. Rigo has very fast hands but Russel Jr.'s hand speed just jumps out at you from the moment you first see him throw combinations.

For one punch at maximum speed maybe Rigo is faster. That high speed gives his straight left tremendous power. For all around hand speed I'd give Russel Jr. the edge.

Russell Jr is probably the fastest current fighter. He's faster than Rigondeaux.

What makes Russell's speed stand out is when he unleashes a combination or sets of combinations.

Russell is like a machine gun and Rigo is a rifle.

In combination...russell for sure ..im trying to even recall last time i saw rigo throw a combo
First punch off the trigger i would say its close but rigo more explosive so his punches carry greater velocity
