Former light flyweight world champion Pedro Guevara is getting his much anticipated shot at WBC champion Ken Shiro (10-0, 5 KOs) on Sunday in Tokyo. The Mexican pugilist is a long-time mandatory challenger for the green-and-gold belt at 108 pounds. Guevara (30-2-1, 17 KOs) had to leave his WBC belt in Japan in November, 2015 following a highly controversial split decision loss to unheralded Yu Kimura. The 28-year-old former titlist had to wait years to finally get his shot to regain his once-held belt.
