The third component of an HBO's tripleheader has been finalized for November 25. According to an ESPN.com story posted Thursday, Felix Valera has been secured as Sullivan Barrera's opponent that night in The Theater at Madison Square Garden. The Cuban-born Barrera (20-1, 14 KOs) and the Dominican Republic's Valera (15-1, 13 KOs) will square off in a 10-round light heavyweight fight in New York.

Barrera should be fighting Kovalev in the main event for the vacant WBO belt. This card looks to be a bad one

Just make Kovalev vs Barrera or scrap the card completely.

Sullivan Barrera is a complete idiot like most of these Cubans. Turns down Beterbiev, wants more money. Turns down Kovalev, wants more money. Accepts a fight against a nobody likely for peanuts and a used condom.

I'm not surprised nor disappointed. If these dudes don't face each other, then they have to face someone else and there are simply not enough credible opponents available to have competitive fights on paper. Kovalev, Barrera and Beterbiev all have fights scheduled against overmatched foes. Gvozdyk was in the same situation as well. Valera is probably no worse than Slava, Koelling or Baker.

Sosa-Castellanos is by far the most compelling matchup of the card.
