  • Larios vs Pocket Rocket

damn what a fight, fight of the year so far but damn what horrible announcers......... man if the guy from hbo did it(Jim) it would of been more intense, that guy really brings the drama into a fight.

Okay I didn't see the fight in its entirety but caught it the middle of 5th or 6th rd. and up. I guess it was a good scrap, but w/ the rounds that I saw think Larios handled McCullough pretty well giving it 5rds. to 1.

          i agree

rumor has it they removed george foreman for saying 'ew' after a big shots, that sucks because i liked george in there, mainly for when he would disagree with Jim and seem to label jim as a ***** ass commentator that nver stepped foot in the ring.

Like this one time, i forget which fight, but Jim said 'He's thinking "Now I'm gonna work the defense" ' Foreman let out a 'uh, you know what he's thinking??' or something like that. made me laf.

It was a good fight. Damn Wayne is a freaking machine. He is the definition of a pressure fighter. He just keeps stepping forward and swinging. Him and Larios are both in tremendous shape. They must have thrown 70-85 punches a round!.

And for the announcing I actually liked it. It was so easy to ignore. The volume of the crowd was louder that the announcers. Plus they were so monotone I forgot they were there. I like just watching a fight.

Im from Ireland so i will have to watch it tonight they say Wayne ran out of steam he should of been more active coming into this fight and had a few more fights against lively opponents that would push him a bit to get sharpness back.

He's coming from a layoff aswell the whole brain scan business, them punches that waynes getting hit with are hurting him more that they would when he was younger.

Morales said the fight with wayne was his third toughest fight ever and he's been in some tough ones.

I actually scored the fight against Hamed in Waynes favour.

What a fighter though how many classic fights has he given us Irish fans and you Americans aswell he always gives his all.
He will have my respect if he hangs em up now.

I haven't been following boxing that long and this is his first fight I've seen. I could tell he was a fighter in the declining years. Is there any way to see his better fights? Sounds like he was a brutal walk forward fighter. Gotta love the Irish fighters. Too bad there aren't more. We have John Duddy out here who I haven't seen yet, but is there anyone else I should keep an eye out for? And has there ever been an Irish Cutie?
