Why not? If he continues to KO everyone it doesn't matter if they fight in Mecca under the black stone he would be respected. Am hearing comments like America is the place for him lol. Those days are long gone, the Holyfield, Tyson, Bowe, Moorer, Mccall etc days are long done. The only american worth mentioning right now is Wilder and his resume at the moment is a joke.

Joshua should continue doing what he is doing here before he takes his talent to america, I would have said before go and fight Wilder in America but even he hasn't build his name up to the status where that fight would make these two more money than Joshua would make fighting some bum over here.

        1. It probably makes less money there.

        2. So lets say AJ fights Wilder in the States and makes a 'splash' - splash being what exactly - that all the hardcore know him, and some casuals?

3.How many more US HW titleholders - not many - so who would AJ fight next after Wilder - realistically he'd be back in the UK and out of the spotlight in th eUS so any momentum he built up would dissipate.

        4. His name is already in headlines and people are already talking - in the UK at least - as you should know. Cant switch on the tv without seeing him on an advert - is that the case for Wilder in the US? Will it ever be. Days of George Foremen being on tv all the time have long passed - that was when boxing was still mainstream.
Yeah but being a known commodity in the US would put him on a different stratosphere in terms of getting endorsments and sponsors. He will also be able to command bigger purses from US TV.

The long term gains outweigh the short term losses imo.

The states are in no rush to see AJ either, we (especially Deontay) just want to see Wilder vs. Joshua, wherever it takes place! Make it happen!

The only way the U.S. fans will accept Joshua is if he comes here to fight. Joshua/Klitschko was one of the biggest, most exciting fights in a long while and hardly anyone (meaning casuals) in the U.S. knew anything about that fight. The boxing landscape is changing fast but with a star like Joshua, it would be a big disservice not to bring him here. Joshua/Wilder in Vegas would be huge. Especially if it gets the same treatment as Canelo/Golovkin or half of what Mayweather/McGregor got.

Remember, Klitschko was huge in Germany also but not so much over here. It hurt his status with U.S. fans a bit. He was more known here for who he was married to than he was for boxing.

Who gives the f.uck if Americans accept AJ or not? America is quite irrelevant in heavyweight division.

Yet more people watched it live than Spence's last fight, the 154 card, Porter/Berto, Gervonta Davis last Showtime fight, Frampton/Santa Cruz. Aint only Broner beat it on Showtime this year?

You're right but just going from what I got from casual fans, no one was talking about it. I got to work all excited about the fight and all I heard was crickets when I brought it up. They know even less about the other fights you mentioned. What's less than nothing?

He doesn't need to be accepted in America. He already generate more money than he would ever make in america, Holyfield/Tyson would make more money for him but those days are over.

The biggest name in america isn't even the HW anymore and the only name worth mentioing is Wilder (Who is relatively unknown in america).

The Klits were able to stay in Germany because their era didn't have the big name americans on show. Am all for going to america but thats if the money is there, Why would he leave the UK to fight in america for less? Back in the days i was one of those who encourage Hatton to leave the UK and fight in america because the money was better and the competition was there.

Now the competition in america is thin and terrible.
