Comments Thread For: Joshua: Takam is Tough, Late Switch Has Not Affected Camp

As reported on Monday on BoxingScene.com, Kubrat Pulev has been forced to pull out of his heavyweight title clash with Anthony Joshua due to a shoulder injury and will be replaced by Carlos Takam for the bout. Unbeaten powerhouse Joshua was due to take on Bulgarian Pulev in his first fight since defending his IBF belt and claiming the WBA and IBO straps by defeating Wladimir Klitschko in an epic encounter at Wembley in April.

really hope Rob working with Joshua on his defence and head movement (which is non existent). In most of AJ's fights he's gone looking for his opponent but I wonder how he does when he's on the backfoot. Wlad kept him at bay with the jab but he still found ways to get the shots off.

Not Joshua's fault in having a replacement, just like it isn't Wilder's fault his opponents are not clean. Injuries happen. Sucks cause it would of looked good on Joshua's resume beating the #3 guy in the division.
