Trout is from my state of New Mexico and I was hoping he would win. He was fast and sharp and beating Hurd up in the early rounds. I thought he was going to win. Hurd just kept coming and walking through heavy fire. Trout slowed down and Hurd's punches started to land more often and that was the beginning of the end. I kept hoping Trout could turn the fight back around in his favor. He tried but Hurd was too tough. Hurd has a long smashing jab to go with his other powerful punches. It was a great fight from start to finish. Lots of bombs were landed by both men in every round. There was never a lull or dull moment in that fight. I can't believe what a great fight it was. It was the opposite of Lara's fight. That fight almost put me to sleep.

Great fight, lots of skill and determination.

Trout is a real warrior, he just couldn't maintain his performance late on.

Not too impressed by him either but he's fun to watch.
He is big for 154. I wouldn't mind seeing him and Charlo get it.

I think so as a candidate. But it wouldn't get my vote for the FOTY. Worthy of being considered though.
