They both made weight and were strong as bulls so why on earth should they move up if they have no problem making 154. You talk like they cheated or did something wrong. A boxer fighting at his best and most effective weight is legal and intelligent. Moving up in weight for no good reason is ****** and a good way to get beat. Trout was every bit as big as Hurd. He is shorter but he weighed a rock hard, lean 154 just like Hurd. It's a weight class not a height and reach class. Trout usually weighs over 170 on fight night so Hurd has no weight advantage over him. Lubin is also a full sized 154 boxer who is just shorter and stockier than Charlo but no lighter. It sounds like you don't like the day before the fight weigh in. I don't like it myself. But blame the rule and not the boxers who follow it.
These so called "154" pounders should damn move up!

Jacobs ran to HBO as soon as Charlo moved up. That right there should tell you what's up.Charlo won't get his mando shot til AFTER the rematch of GGG and Canelo and but then before that GGG would already be at 168 or retired if he beats Saunders and Canelo. Charlo fought a cripple and got gifted a shot, what is the reason why should he not Daniel Jacobs? Afraid that he would fight someone his own size and arguably bigger that has a lot more fire power than him?Comment

I agree with you. There needs to be rules put in place to stop it. Another gripe of mine: house fighters taking on opponents from divisions below at short notice. Often you'll get prospects in the UK fighting some no hoper. Then you look on BoxRec and he has no stoppages and he's came up 2-3 weight classes to take the fight. Just plain wrong.Comment

The problem is more than 24 hours between weigh in and fight time with little or no limit on rehydration. What the hell with these size advantages man they looked like 2-3 weight classes above their opponents, both Jermell and Hurd, against Lubin and Trout move up and fight someone their own size!
We all crucified Canelo for weight bullying, but he isn't a damn SMW bullying SWW, but rather a natural MW bullying SWW, but these guys are something else.
I personally believe, if there is such a worry for fighters health nd dehydration, move the weigh in to the morning of the fight, giving fighters 12 hours to rehydrate not 24 + hours with al imit of only 5 lb gain.Comment

Yeah, these are some big boys except for Lara, that dude is like 160 on fight night. He's gonna get crushed fighting these guys if he ever does. If Hurd moves up, middleweight gets a little better. Don't want Charlo to move up for a while because his brother is there and if they get titles, they'll never fight so it's a waste. But imagine Hurd vs Lemueix or either Charlo vs Jacobs
Not to mention Canelo and GGG vs either. And I forgot Andrade just moved up also. 160 could be lit by late 2018Comment
