I hope people don't throw Lubin in the trash forever, he's still very young at 22 and has all the time in the world to bounce back. My big worry is his chin though, you can't bounce back from a glass chin (if he is packing glass) but Badou Jack got nailed by Edwards in one round and managed to turn his career around completely despite being much older. Time will tell for Lubin but on the positive side he took it well enough in the post fight interview.
Where did they find Lubin?

Great post. Good summary.Lubin made his name in 2013 when he narrowly beat Yasniel Toledo at 64kg.
Later that year he moved up to 69kg and won the USA National Golden Gloves.
Since it's rare for Americans to beat Cubans there was a lot of hype around Lubin after the Toledo fight.
Some were even crowning him as the Olympic Gold medalist three years before the Olympics.
But instead of going to Rio he signed to turn pro on his 18th birthday.
Lubin would not have won Gold by the way. Daniyar Yeleussinov would have been too good for him.
Guys like Rabii and Giyasov would have also defeated Lubin.
I don't want to feel like I'm kicking Lubin while he is down, but people just got overexcited. We all do with some fighter or another at some point.
He took a chance and he'll learn from this.
The bold part is so true. I did that with Fernando Vargas and Erickson Lubin. Anyway, Lubin still is a skilled fighter and can come back from this. He's only 22.
I'll look forward to his progress and rebuilding. Hopefully, he doesn't give into depression as some fighters do in their first loss. All the best.
Still a big fan. War Lubin!
