Solid win by Hurd. Hurd has a damn good chin. Very young. He should fight his mandatory next then try to unify afterwards.

One concern he tends to get flat footed occasionally. That's one thing Hurd has to work on.

By the way Hurd looks like a Middleweight not a Junior Middleweight.

Hurd has size and decent strength. We got the performance we expected from him. Good win against a good vet.

He'll have an even greater hill to climb next fight. Looking forward to it. Much respect to Trout, the younger man had too much for him.

Due to Hurd's size and pressure, it's going to be hard to beat him. His last two opponents, Harrison and Trout, were clearly better boxers than him but even they couldn't handle his pressure and he eventually wore them down and stopped them.

All of a sudden, a fight between him and Lara is a lot more interesting. Lara might be able to box circles around him, but eventually Hurd will close the distance.

People criticizing Hurd yet he did exactly what he said he would do and became the first guy to stop Trout.

Cotto, Canelo, Lara, and even Hitman Charlo all failed to do this. Cotto actually lost clean to Trout and Canelo and Charlo also struggled against Trout.

This was a hard fight and Hurd won it in a way that no one has before him. Hurd is the goods, no one can take that away from him now.

He will get KO'd by Jermell though, and so will Lubin.

I think that in order to beat Hurd, it will have to look like a Mosely vs Margarito type of performance. Fast hands and angles (including knowing when to tie up to avoid momentum) not to mention stamina are all going to be required. Hurd is like a tank and it doesn't matter of you outbox him because he knows he will break you eventually. Very impressive performance!

Hurd looked like the mummy, the old one where the monster drags his leg and sticks his arm out. He was too big for a worn Trout, but with that style, he's going to have problems.

Trout won almost every round but he hit a wall and fell apart around the 6th.

I disagree. It's hard to tell considering Trout has never been a good puncher. I doubt he will do that to Lara or the Charlos.
