If I remember correctly the guy though he could do everything without a team leading up to the Riggo fight. Would have lost just as well but he crashed that night and hasn't been the same since

Rigo was the one who shook his reality.

Walters was just a reminder, an effective reality check.

Rigo took his soul. Completely gun shy and no confidence after that fight. He just stopped believing in his own capabilities

Little known fact, Walters weighed 147 that night. Donaire weighed 128-130 --- according to Donaire.

Donaire's house was dismantled by Rigo's sublime skill set. Nonito was on a high, had just been awarded 2012 FOTY, but that fight shook him to the core.

Walters, with his physicality, was a like a hurricane that blew away the rest of the house.

No Donaire was a hype job his wins came from sucking down from 135 to fly weight to super bantam to feast on smaller men . It's to bad he pick on the wrong little guy who exposed him

Father time and overconfidence in his power ruined Donaire like it does most fighters.

Although Donaire was coming off winning FOTY, you could start to see the cracks in the WV2 and Mathebula fights. When he dropped Conte as his strength and conditioning coach I knew he was going to lose to Rigo unless he got the knockout.
