Sounds like complete speculation to me?
No doubt it will happen, but nothing in here that your average fan couldnt have deduced as soon as Hearn made the deal with HBOComment

I Showtime exec came out last week and said they build AJ in the US market and plan to continue doing so and showing his new fights on showtime for years to come.
There is no doubt AJ is the biggest star in boxing.. And he's only getting bigger. I suspect Hearn will go with the highest bidder. Having the biggest star in boxing is very lucrative.. Just look at him much money Floyd pulled in. AJ is making 20 mill in his 19th and 20th fight.. Even Floyd wasn't doing that in his 19th. HBO will definitely be making offers and I suspect they will outbid showtime.Comment

To fight who though? As big a star Anthony Joshua is in the UK, very few people are going to turn up and pack Las Vegas or buy the PPV to see him fight Joseph Parker or Dillian Whyte or Bryant Jennings or even "Big Baby" Miller.I

People can knock it if they want, but the Wilder fights (or a Klitschko rematch) are the only real path to establishing Joshua as a PPV attraction in the US.
After the Wilder series (in a perfect world, you end up with three fights that elevate both guys to PPV attractions), the dueling bids between the channels would make more sense (with the risk to HBO of laying out a big obligation with largely tickover fights available to try and cover the costs).Comment
