I keep telling you folks that Spence is the heir apparent to Pac and Floyd.

That's why the promoters are throwing boatloads of cash at him.

Think about it.

His skill level is already right there- he does things to fighters that even other highly respected fighters do not.

And he is very marketable as his demeanor falls right between Floyd's braggadocio and Pac's "aw shucks" humility.

He is a goldmine waiting to happen and the promoters know it.

Paying that amount of money once or twice a year is why we have little boxing fights. I say cap the amount and force them to fight to earn a living, obviously enough to live in luxury, but 3.5 million is ridiculous for one fight a year.

I remember when Hamed's 6 million dollar fight against Barrera was considered exorbitant and one of the highest for a non-HW fight, since then it's ballooned and created divas who won't keep active or satisfy their fans if they're not offered zillions.
