why are rigo fans making so many excuses?

did a thread not long ago where i dared to suggest rigo may not be worthy of being rated so high pound for pound. In that thread i got absolutely slaughtered, people saying about how good he is with the 'eye test' and some saying hes the most talented fighter in the sport.

Now since the lomachenko fights been made, all ive heard is damn excuses already. 'The weights too much, rigos old, the win doesnt mean anything for loma, it will be tainted'

So a few months ago he was the best thing since sliced bread whos undeniably one of the best p4p fighters, but now the people who rated him so highly have now pretty much written him off against lomachenko?

If hes that good, the weight (which isnt the insurmountable size difference people are making it out to be) shouldnt be the defining factor in the fight. Its hardly david and goliath ffs, im not even sure thats lomas natural weight class.

But anyway, isnt this what you all deman, great fighters need to go up in weight? That seems to be peoples favourite catchphrase on here. But then one of the fighters you all rate so much goes up in weight, then they have no chance? Yet this is what you demand other fighters do....

Why you all making so many excuses? Have some confidence in your guy!

I almost get the impression people never wanted this fight to get made, they'd rather the match up have played out on the forum rather than the ring.

Two excellent fighters but Loma is naturally bigger and many years younger. That is a solid advantage for Loma. It's not an excuse. It's a fact.

A thread about Loma and Rigo and as usual you use it to attack GGG and his fans. Last time you were trashing GGG for fighting Brook and holding Cotto up as the standard for fearless risk takers. The same Cotto would is defending his 154 pound title against a mediocre welterweight who Vargas KOed not long ago. Cotto has often defended his title against much poorer opposition than world champion Brook. In fact if his last fight was with Brook it would be a close fight instead of the mismatch with his cherry pick. You won't say a bad word about Cotto's going away fairwell cherry pick because you have a double standard yourself. Cotto can do no wrong and GGG can do no right. You are a hater and a hypocrite.

I agree with the above, Rigo is the technically better boxer but is a lot older and smaller. I also question Rigo's chin. Both are fantastic fighters though
