he had the balls/skill to test himself against tricky opponents
and he likely beat Golovkin fair and square
Damn right. I think he beats the dogshit out of the ginger. I wanna see how good Jermall is. He should get his Golovkin shot. Nelo hoping for Saunders or the mongoloid Frenchman.

isn't " the Mongoloid Frenchman " Golovkin 2nd best win?
1) Jacobs*
2) Lemieux
3) Murray
come to think of it.....
does Danny Jacobs have a better resume than Golovkin ?
1) Golovkin*
2) Mora
3) Quillin
4) Mora
maybe not, if you count Golovkin's draw with Canelo
but very close
Jacobs is the man at 160, because he will fight anyone, and because he arguably beat Golovkin

Hard to say. Golovkin's draw to Canelo isn't really seen as an actual draw to very many. Jacobs and GGG are probably tied for the number one spot in the division. With a win over the Frenchman along with Eubank and Lee it would be hard to put Saunders too far behind them.

it's as much of a " draw " as Golovkin's " win " over Jacobs
both = *
Canelo beating Golovkin is the hardest argument..... BUT, there is an argument..... that fight was close as hell
MUCH closer than say, Pac/May..... and there are still people who debate that fight today
people see what they want to see
folks who argue about Jacobs/Golovkin have to realize that they are wasting their time
that is what rematches are for
truth be known, Canelo should be waiting for them to settle their business..... because I rank Jacobs ahead of Canelo at 160, and although there is a case that the red kid beat Golovkin, it was not decisive or even clear.....
just like the argument for Golovkin beating Canelo, is not decisive or even clear.....

agreed
1) Golovkin, by the skin of his balls, with a *
2) Jacobs, *..... he could be the best middleweight on the planet, and right now I suspect that he is..... but need to see him fight Canelo, and the guy who will give him the most problems because of style, Charlo
3) Canelo, right up there with Golovkin..... nothing separated them when they fought..... he looked great in spots in his first true middleweight bout, and will only get better
..... by rights it should be.....
1) Golovkin/Jacobs/Canelo
4) Saunders
5) Charlo
6) the rest..... I do not rate Lemieux, I think Saunders will outclass him
The Ring have Canelo number #1, and have done since Cotto..... and I have disagreed with that decision since it was made
ranking by lineage is absurd, Canelo had never partaken in a genuine middleweight contest until a few weeks ago..... he should be entering their ranking NOW, at #3
I like your idea of a tourney, but only if I can pick the fights lol
the best scenario at middleweight is.....
1) Golovkin/Jacobs fight NEXT
2) Canelo can fight Lemieux, that is a good "settle in at 160" fight while he waits for the Golovkin/Jacobs winner
3) Saunders/Charlo, with the winner fighting the loser of Golovkin/Jacobs
the winner of scenario #3, will then be deservedly in line for the winner of scenario #2
that way in 18 months we would have a clear pecking order among the top 3 with some interesting matchups still on the table
GOOD post, much better than your one-liners on the other thread
