That is negotiating idiot. They wanted to fight under the limit and Golovkin said no. Canelo wanted to fight at his preferred weight and refused to budge he could have said yes but he ducked Golovkin. The weight was an excuse. Golden Boy admitted it later that they were stalling Golovkin.

this video proves that Cotto was willing to fight Golovkin on his terms..... terms that Golovkin refused, and then lied about

oh wow, guess what..... that was YOUR video
As is your speciality, you're conflating information from 2 very different time periods to make your point and ignoring all context surrounding the two videos. The timeline actually supports my argument. I said GGG didn't negotiate weight when Cotto and later on Canelo held the belt because he didn't need to. He was going to get the belt if those guys refused to fight him. Once the belt was out of the way he was willing to negotiate on weight to make the fight. And that's what the two videos showed. The video of Cotto was before his fight with GGG's sloppy seconds and a roughly full year after he won the belt from Sergio Martinez. GGG was Cotto's mandatory during that period. And as I said repeatedly as a mandatory he was due a title shot eventually or the belt itself if the champion wouldn't make the fight. The fight between Cotto and GGG's sloppy seconds took place in June 2015. The video you keep posting of GGG was before his fight with Kell Brook. That fight took place in September 2016. The GGG video took place 15 months months later after the Cotto video. In that time Cotto defended his belt against Geale and lost it to Canelo. In that time Canelo dumped his belt and chose to face Amir Khan rather than defend it against GGG. GGG was then elevated to champion. He got his belt and the other guys were under no obligation to meet him at 160 so he expressed his willingness to drop weight to make the fight.

To top it off, that article you posted of GGG's unwillingness to negotiate on weight it says the following.
Golovkin was willing to come down to 154-pounds for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. for the WBC/WBA belts at junior middleweight. But when it comes to a middleweight unification, which the WBC ordered, Golovkin is not planning to skim off any pounds.

Because the fight is a mandatory defense, both Cotto and Canelo will have very little bargaining power to force a catch-weight on Golovkin.

"I'm champion of 160, middleweight is my comfortable weight. For what [reason would I do a catch-weight]? For business or for what? I'm a boxer. I'm the champion of the middleweight division," Golovkin said.
So all the evidence you keep crowing about actually supports what I've been saying all along. It would save us all a lot of time if you had the humility to see it.

well that is NOT negotiating then, is it ?

            that is refusing to negotiate

            1) Golovkin totally refused to negotiate on weight with Cotto

            2) Golovkin then stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, and would be happy to do so..... if only those cowardly JMW's would step up to the plate.....

..... oh, did I mention that was immediately after refusing to negotiate on weight with Cotto and Canelo? LOL

you can spin that however you like

why would you even attempt to defend that? you shameless pom-pom waving fanboy LMAO

                  first.....

Golovkin Rejects Idea of Catch-Weight For Cotto, Canelo
IBF/IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (34-0, 31 KOs) has no intention of agreeing to a catch-weight against the winner of Saul “Canelo” Alvar

                  then.....

A frustrated Golovkin, willing to fight at 154 lbs.....

                  hahaha

Point #1. Canelo totally refused to negotiate on weight with Golovkin. Golden Boy confirmed this.
Point #2. Golovkin stated he would only drop weight for Mayweather.
Point #3. Go to the Bank, withdraw some money and buy a clue.

                      3) he heard Golovkin talk all that 154-168 rubbish

how the fk does that explain why Golovkin refused to negotiate on weight with Cotto/Canelo, and then ran around telling lies about wanting to fight at 154 if only the JMW's would step up?

you got lied to son, now you are here lying to me

Golovkin Would Fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154.....

you are a fkn mug Tony.....

We’ve always said that if there is a compelling fight, Gennady would move up or down, we’ve talked about moving up to 168 for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. because that would be a pay-per-view fight and if it’s Canelo, then I’m sure that we could work out a catchweight if he wanted to work out a catchweight and if it’s in his best interest. So that would certainly be a pay-per-view fight,” said Loeffler.

There wouldn’t be any issues for us to come down to fight Canelo. There would still be a title on the line for Gennady because he would be fighting under 160, so he would be able to defend the titles at 156 or whatever you have the weight be. But Gennady would be willing to come down in weight to fight Canelo. I wouldn’t say it would be at 154 but certainly, given that Canelo fought his last fight at 155, then you could say that Gennady would certainly be willing to come down in weight to make the Canelo fight.

                      the truth:
