Deontay Wilder, not having good times mentally.

You can tell these pull outs and all the criticism is starting to get to him. And no fault of his own he signed to fight Ortiz who tested positive so you can't say he isn't trying

    BUT

He's been taking little passive agressive pot-shots at joshua from time to time for a couple of years, but now he's posting all kinds of random nonsense and quite frankly losing it.

He's got a fight against stiverne he needs to get through first, then let's see this fight signed and sealed. But to me Deontay is coming across as insecure, and frankly in as fragile a mental state as is his physical body.

Part of me is wondering if after all these injuries he keeps getting fight after fight, doctors have told him "1 or 2 more fights and then you are done deontay"

it would explain his sudden panic and insecurity.

As much as calling out other fighters is good to build up fights etc, when the other fighter isn't taking the bait and even alluding to not making the fight for a long time, you need to start focusing more on building your own name and brand up and waste less energy calling AJ out,

We all want to see that fight, and if it doesn't happen in 2018 its a blatant duck on AJ's part, BUT wilder can't rely on AJ, He needs to go and fight the second best, if not then the third best etc, If AJ want's to duck or cherry pick let him, You be the one that goes out and proves your self against everybody else and the time will come where AJ can't run anymore.

Its starting to get a little bit like khan mayweather at this point. We all want to see the dilian whyte fight, whyte want's the fight, hearn offered a career high pay day. huge exposure in the UK, That would have been the perfect fight, a no brainer, why not take that fight? name a better fight that can be made other than parker?

Deserved criticism, his resume is an utter disgrace.

He is a bit manic. But I suppose if you thought there was £20 million payday on the horizon most people would want it fairly desperately. And it the end of the day, all he has to do is have a fight which he has done 39 times before or whatever.

Prizefighting isn't it? That dough secures his and his families future.

Joshua is a cool cat because he could fight my Nan and make £5 million.

I still think Joshua should take it next though. You can't let heavyweight fights 'marinate' one of them might get splattered. It happens.

Wilder is perfectly fine. He's the only Heavyweight since Fury left that SPECIFICALLY publicized UNIFICATION with any other Heavyweight.

The ball has been in Parker's and Joshua's court. Hearn is content with the situation. Joshua is his Golden ticket.... they have even tried to bait Wilder to fight Whyte in the UK to potentially steal that Green strap one way or the other. This way Joshua can hopefully avoid Wilder.

Wilder's right is a serious threat if Klitchko was able to stagger Joshua. Joshua has always had respect for Wilder, in fact both have for each other. Wilder has been begging for Unification....and even Lewis publicized that he even fought in Vegas.

Hearn is trying to justify that Joshua only makes sense on the UK by creating strategies to over hype in the UK. They have every right to do so, its a Brit Champion. This is the stalemate of the situation.

Wilder can keep doing what he wished to do. Alll camps know that mega fight is brewing, so there's really nothing to complain about.

If Fury were actually active and had once creeped up to Wilder that fight shouldve been huge to add on more rivalry between UK vs USA.

In other words, Fury is a disgraceful Champion who had once uppercutted himself ffs..

Eh, I think sometimes you gotta talk or should talk. Its part of the self promotion angle of the business of boxing. Right now people are paying attention to Wilder & he's making use of that attention being paid to him.

A poster here (I forget their name) came up with a great theory a day or two ago:

It is as though Deontay Wilder's people have realised that the biggest payday for them is the Anthony Joshua fight.

Their attitude since AJ beat Wladimir Klitschko and blew up has been to get that fight ASAP. Whereas Joshua is more interested in building a legacy and taking care of all business. It comes across that Wilder and his people are very insecure and need to keep bleating about being the best. AJ on the other hand always comes across as calm and confident in his and his teams abilities.

I think Wilder's people know that sooner or later he will have to fight a legit threat who could take his title. If it happens he will lose a lot of leverage for cashing out against AJ. AJ will probably make £5m+ per fight the rest of his career. Making that much money will be like winning the lottery for Wilder.

Well to be honest who wouldn't be mentally affected by this? He has been a pro longer than Joshua but he hasn't got the same respect that some seem to be given to Joshua.

He has like 38 fights and his resume is pretty much basic, he probably thought his career would have gone leaps above everyone at HW by now, but since winning the WBC belt he hasn't really move forward. Now he has to fight him again which for me sets him back to when he was challenging for that same belt 2 and a half years ago.

In that time Joshua has build up his name and he looked like the A-side (Market wise), he doesn't have to call anyone out, he can do whatever he likes as the A-side, Wilder on the other hand has to be careful who he fights before he gets that Joshua payday. Joshua can lose today and his stock wouldn't be affected. Hopefully this fight happens next year after a good build up.
