Comments Thread For: Oscar Valdez Hopes To Defend WBO Title as Soon as Possible

For now it is time for a vacation, but if necessary Oscar Valdez would jump on the opportunity to defend his WBO featherweight title in December. But if not, then Valdez would likely not return until the month of March or April. Valdez won a tough fight with Filipino contender Genesis Servania two weeks ago in Tucson, Arizona, as part of Top Rank card that was televised on ESPN.

Right now I'm thinking Jo-Jo Diaz should hold off on Gary Russell Jr. and wait for Valdez to challenge for a world title ; after what I witness vs. Marriaga and Genesis Servania Oscar is slipping -- that with the fact that the American has already beat him in the amateurs is plenty of reason to gun for Valdez.

Tbh, I don't think he's ready just yet!

Santa Cruz, Mares and Frampton would school him and Russell Jr would knock him out!

He needs more fights with vets to fine tune his lapses when he fights and ability to switch from offense to defense!

I think he beats Selby though!
