    New rules for boxing

We're headed to a new world. Crowd funding and broadcast distribution are two fields that are being disprotionately affected...thankfully for boxing.

It is about time the fans take control of the fight game and root out decisions like Canelo/Golovkin and lame-o's like Mayweather.

Once the above are established, fans will no longer be at the mercy of the pathetic presenters, and will be able to bid up the value of fights, and distribute directly to fans.

One requirement will be the site, but thankfully there are Native American reservations throughout the US, where the fights can be sanctioned.

Here are some rules to start off:
1)Round ends once there is a knockdown
2)fight goes on until one fighter quits
3)no referee....only one authority who sits ringside and enforces no-holding rule. If a fighter holds more than twice, he's disqualified, and banned for period of time..
    4)Only five divisions...135, 147, 160, 175, Heavyweight (the real division).
5)Each continent has same rules, and same streamlined participation, and winners keeping narrowing out.

It will be VERY DIFFICULT to keep winning and get a streak, and only the truly greats will succeed. It will be very violent, and only the ballsiest will dare enter. It will be truly global, unlike the underclass American loserfest we have had to endure the last decade. And fighters will get paid what the fans bid for to make each fight take place.

          - 11 or 13 Rounds instead of 12

          - 5 Judges instead of 3

          - More point-deductions for blatant infranctions instead of just "hard warnings"

          - Establish a "Global Commission" instead of state by state, country by country

I like boxing pretty much the way it is. This fantasy of yours is never going to happen. It sounds an awful lot like the UFC. I think there are some great fighters below 135 and you just kicked them all to the curb while you praise heavyweights who are often fat as pigs and slow as turtles and throw 25 punches a round instead of 100 punches a round some smaller fighter throw. Like it or not a ref is needed. Better quality refs would be nice but no ref at all isn't going to work.

I suggest the following changes to the current rules:

                1) Score 1 point per knockdown. Forget punch stats or number of rounds won.
                2) Two of three judges can override a questionable call by the referee (knockdown was a trip, etc); judges use instant replay (also available to fans) between rounds to resolve the call before the next round begins.
                3) 16' ring.
                4) Championship fight is 15-rounds.
                4) Enforce holding (and other infractions such as non-engagement) by penalizing 1 point each time after the first warning.
                5) Weigh-in held two hours before broadcast time.
                6) Keep riff-raff and celebrities with chunky glasses out of the ring until winner has been announced. i.e. only referee, two combatants, trainers, and physician (if necessary).

                  New rules.

                  Rule 1:
                  Two men enter.

                  Rule 2:
                  One man leaves.

Ratings would go thru the roof.
