  • Comments Thread For: Joshua Anticipates That at Some Point He Will Taste Defeat

IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs) is realistic - he knows that at some point he will suffer his first career defeat. Joshua returns to the ring on October 28th in Cardiff, when he defends his titles against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev of Bulgaria. The undefeated Olympic gold medal winner has been a destructive force in the ring, but there have been some flaws displayed in several of his bouts.

What a good representation of the sport. A classy champion, and very humble.

If he's feeling that pressure already, before he's even faced a name opponent who could've fought Muhammad Ali, Then this guy is going to be a huge bust.

Can't see any of the current crop causing much resistance

Most of them are failing drug tests or untested

He's being honest and realistic, something hardly seen in boxing.

Ain't nothing harder in boxing than having an illustrious career in heavyweight that ends with zero losses.

Boxing is such a highly mental sport. There's no way he should be thinking this way right now, much less talking this way for his future opponents to see. Right now guys that have the mentality of Mike Tyson, Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder etc are licking their chops. Joshua just went from wolf to sheep in the eyes of a lot of dangerous fighters.

                Im telling you.

This sounds the words of a man who is accepting that he cannot avoid Wilder, and maintain credibility, when the last time you GGG or Mayweather say some BS like this.

It's official, AJ fears Wilder, does not want to fight Wilder, and has accepted that he cannot move forward in his career until he takes this fight.

Very Very true. I agree with you that Rocky Marciano's 50-0 is a million times more significant than any lower weight fighters who may have matched such a record especially if they did it by fighting spectators and their own sparring partners.
