The fact Hearn didnt make Crolla V Flanaghan when he still held the world title is the one of the worst promoting mistakes in the last decade.

Both went to the same school.

One is Manchester United, One is Manchester City (arch rivals)

It would of sold out a football stadium 10 times over in Manchester.

      had it 9-3 crolla

      gave burns rounds 4, 9 and 12

burns was jabbing to crollas gloves and missing a lot early on

it was the phantom jab like hughies vs parker, and shouldnt be scored but im sure it fools some people into giving him rounds

Let's be honest though, Crolla would have drawn 90% of the crowd, but Frank and Terry were demanding more than a million pounds for the fight

Hearn has been overpaying Crolla for fighting no names over the past few years why wouldnt pay up a mill for a fight that could of sold out Man u or man citys football stadium?

Fish eyes frank is not dumb, he would of been reasonable and jumped at the chance of making that fight on a huge platform...considering Flanaghans profile has been going down the gutter agaisnt no name draws for the past few years...

That gay dude from Puerto rico and petr petrov?

That is still a big fight now, I think it will happen in 2018! Anthony Crolla has what seems a bigger following than Terry Flanaghan, and his recent performances and loses will actually in my opinion make the Flanaghan fight more of a story etc (Probably his last chance at regaining a world title!)..

Nahh, its a no where near as big a fight as it was when Crolla had a world title and before he got schooled twice by linares.

that was THE fight to make. instead hes now going life and death with a shot rickster.

Its the equivalent of Haymon waiting until Wilder gets knocked out and losing his title and then trying to make the AJ fight after...

Its still a big fight because Anthony Crolla still has his fans, its not as if he was a mainstream fighter like Anthony Joshua who's majority of fans are casuals! Anthony Crolla's fans are HIS fans! So I am sure that within Manchester and with abit of marketing spin, It could still be quite a big spectacle! (And Anthony Crolla's recent win, is not hurting his chances in slaying Terry Flanaghan! But yes overall I understand what you are saying, Eddie Hearn has missed a golden opportunity!)...

I wasn't too hot on this fight at this stage in both guys careers'. It was a fun fight though.

It was a close one i thought, but i think Crolla edged it.

Wonder what's next up for him, Campbell, Flanagan?

I'm a Crolla fan, but in his case it's about heart. I know he's limited skill wise, but its like he'll run to fire, not from it. Flanagan had plenty of chances to confront Linares, but he waited until Linares left town to thump his chest. He could have fought Barroso, but Matthews was easier. Flanagan has disappointed and wonders why he can't draw flies.
