Vitali was a beast, we all know he was better than his brother, maybe a bit less fast and power but pretty much indestructible and a real fighting instinct.
Physically he was a beast despite being not overly muscular, he would have worn down Joshua and walked him down late I think.

That's what referee thought but slowmo doesn't lie.
If those landed Wlad would fall for the 3rd time in last round. But they didn't.

          Stay retired Champ ..

It's justifiable that Vitali should be ranked in the all-time top 10. Vitali's 2 loses have foot-notes & loss reasons but were legitimate loses. Vitali never could get the Byrd or Lewis return-fights due to boxing politics. Vitali was winning both (Byrd & Lewis) fights on the score cards. Sadly a return-match for a premature 38yr Lewis retirement never materlized.

We finally agree. H2h Vitali is the best all time. Nobody beats him more than a few time if fought anyone ten times. Lennox got lucky to have escaped that one with a win. Vitali would have won a rematch.

Vitali still got the better of Lennox and nobody else can say that. His two losses came against two miracle flukes. Vitali actually out boxed him and hurt him several times. A younger Lennox would have got knocked out without his survival skills being so masterfully honed.

Old shot reflexes Wlad knocked Joshua down. No way prime Wlad doesn't knock him out. No way.
