Comments Thread For: Lara: Golovkin Won, These Results Are Typical With Canelo Fights

WBA super welterweight champion Erislandy Lara (24-2-2) and unbeaten 2012 US Olympian Terrell Gausha will face each other in a Showtime televised main event on October 14th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The fight will snap 9 months of inactivity for Lara but he is not worried about ring rust. He said that everything has gone smooth in his preparations for Gausha.

Then that means you lost to Canelo. EVERYONE says he fought just like you did. I swear people don't think before they speak. If Lara schooled Canelo, and Canelo fought like lara against GGG, then that means he schooled GG. Can't be both ways

Because it was an awful fight. molina will clinch and slaps punches. The best punches of the fight were landed by the Cuban. And the guy that say williams won fair and square, I guess he hasn't watch the fight. By the way the 3 judges of the williams fight, are suspended because of their bias...

Nah, Canelo stood his ground much more than Lara did. Lara fights exclusively off the back foot which always gives the appearance of him relinquishing the ring generalship. What Canelo did was go to the ropes a lot but mainly due to his stamina and GGG ability to cut the ring off but he actually pushed GGG back in spots.

I honestly can't think of 1 fighter in boxing who has ever had more ridiculously one sided scorecards in their favor than Canelo. Ever. It tends to be somewhat overlooked because it can be argued that at the end of the night, the right decision was rendered in each of the 5 fights where he's had shady scorecards. Still doesn't take away from the fact that judges really go out if there way to score rounds for him when he doesn't deserve them.

I don't think they fought they same AT ALL. I think Canelo/lara was a boring with Lara not engaging. I think GGG/canleo was a great fight, however it was Golovkin that didn't really engage. Yes, true he through a lot of jabs, but he didn't throw combos as usual, no body attack as usual and when Canelo was on the ropes he would back Golovkin off with clean effective punches. As much coming forward G did he also did a lot of backing off
