No 1 Heavyweight spot is vacant until AJ vs Wilder Happens.

Neither guy has done any thing to be called The Number 1 Heavyweight in the World.

AJ wins by KO. He is a good boxer and a huge puncher. He always wins by KO and I see no reason that will change with Pulev.

Charles Martin was a Complete Bum who had never beaten a Top 100 Heavyweight coming into their fight (don't count that injury win) so no way was he a Top 10 guy.

Pulev is a solid Heavyweight who is past his best now and struggled with a past it Chisora. I would say he was Top 10 but only because division is Very Weak.
No one was ranked higher than Wlad at the time, Fury retired, Povetkin and Wilder failed to fight, so yeah he was the top guy at the time

A boxer is only as good as his last fight.

If a guy can lose his last fight wide and then be out of the ring for 18 months and come back into that division as Number 1 then it just shows how weak the Heavyweight division is right now.
