Comments Thread For: Wilder: Joshua Did NOT Put England on The Map, Tyson Fury Did!

HEAVYWEIGHT world champion Deontay Wilder reignited his rivalry with Anthony Joshua by claiming Tyson Fury should be British boxing's golden child. Wilder addressed his fans in an Instagram live broadcast while driving, suggesting that the Fury family had been mistreated in the UK in recent years. Tyson's cousin, Hughie, lost against Joseph Parker in controversial fashion on his first attempt at the heavyweight world title two weeks ago, while the Gypsy King himself has faced disciplinary action from the British Boxing Board of Control.

I'm warming to Wilder - he has personality in buckets, now just needs to get some decent fights and opponents. But, 2 years ago we were saying the HW div was warming up, now it looks to back to spinning wheels in a deep rut.

Several busted ped users. Only Wilder, AK and Miller and Parker not gone AWOL, and Parker is looking limited.

Tyson Fury coming back would be useful at this point.

Well, he is speaking the truth.

AJ gets way too much praise for beating an already finished Klitschko. Don't get me wrong, it was a thrilling fight. But for him to be heralded as the king of the division, then how is it that he had to go life and death with someone that Fury didn't even sustain a scratch against?

That said, AJ does whoop Wilder lol.

He needs to fight someone and stop mouthing off, 38 fights and 9yrs in boxing with a resume like that is pretty shocking. Tyson Fury may have won a terrible fight a few years ago but I'd say AJ has done allot more to put the UK on the map as Wilder puts it by putting on one of the best HW fights seen in decades and Unifying the division after Fury completely embarrassed British boxing with his shocking behaviour, addictions, PED usage, fight cancellations, fake injuries and on and on.

He's right. Tyson Fury was the man who ended the Klitschko reign.

          Not Anthony Joshua.

Fury won the title and got chonged for three months

Joshua brought the big money back into the heavy weight scene wilder just trying to secure his first decent opponent / pay day

Aww deontay is jealous. Say what you want but fury wasn't the one who sold out Wembley and broke the uk ppv record.

the aj and klitchko fight brought heavyweight boxing back and he knows it. Made it the sports glamour division again not that stinker between fury and klitchko and certainly not wilder vs whatever public sector worker happens to be in the opposing corner

He's not saying anything that nobody already didn't know...

People talk about Tyson beating Wlad and fair play cos he did but what has he done since? And when AJ beat Wlad who flew over to be a part of the occasion acting all quiet afterwards when Johnny Nelson was asking if he's ready for an AJ fight?

Tyson beat Wlad then instead of focusing on boxing, defending the titles and building his legacy began spouting his opinions on things he could have just kept to himself. Now, you see him in videos with Parker after he beat his cousin doing silly dances.

The scene was warming up again looking interesting but it's losing it's spark again. Top fighters not wanting to fight etc. How does Parker get away with out being mentioned in any meaningful fight too?
