Someone like him would make around the same amount of money as he does in boxing. Him getting his ass kicked and being wildly unsuccessful is a much bigger reason for not trying the sport, me thinks.

That curious shaped bitter-tasting apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Get over yourself Jr. You ducked your way out of the MW division to become an obscure IBO SMW champ, now you want to fight in a league that has salary caps?
What a turd.

Its possible that could change at some point, but I doubt thats within Eubank Jr's career. I guess maybe when he's older & his boxing paydays dry up it could make sense to switch over ala James Toney for a nice bump in recent pay, but beyond that I don't see it happening.

In seriousness Eubank Jr would surely garner a low six digit payday in the UFC I imagine (200k/max, probably lower), but I can't imagine that would be the least bit tempting for him to cross over vs what he's getting these days. For example for the fight tomorrow I believe he's making 5x my speculative max payday for him in MMA + he gets a 1M bonus if he wins.
And there is future income worth considering too. He can make mid 7 digits to potentially 8 digits in boxing moving forward if he wins & wins the right fights although in MMA he'd be looking at 6 digit paydays at best for awhile & only looking at 7 digit paydays if everything went as perfect as possible.
