well im not sure if u heard joshuas latest statements lol but wilder wants the fight next, Joshua.... not so much he wants to take his time. so that's out the door now. he tried to fight povetkin, and Ortiz, yet u still blaming him for it not happening which is pathetic... he called out parker, im not sure what more u guys want but go ahead and keep pushing this. if it makes u feel more comfortable then so be it.

Why on earth would any promotional team only allow 6 weeks to market a unification fight? That makes absolutely zero sense. Sure, I want Wilder v Parker today, but that doesn't mean I should lose all common sense and expect it.6 weeks notice is enough time. Sure, it's on the outer edges of acceptable, but it's not like he took any punishment from Hughie Fury.
There are many times this year that the fight could have been made, but it wasn't. Maybe that was down to Wilder's team, but given what's been coming out of Kevin Barry and David Higgins' mouths, it doesn't sound like it.
Beyond that, it takes time to prepare for an opponent. Hell, it would take a couple of weeks just to find and bring in fighters to camp to replicate your opponents style.

Like I said, his promotional team have decided they want to take the less risky fights to make some money. I'm not a promoter, I'm a fan. I believe he could have taken the Wilder fight and in my opinion he'd beat Wilder quite easily. But that's a matter of opinion.
Whatever your opinion on who'd win that fight, it's clear that Parker's team don't want it right now. So I'm going to call a spade a spade; Parker's team are avoiding the Wilder fight.Comment
