Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) dethroned defending champion Stiverne in January 2015 via unanimous decision in what was the promising challenger's toughest fight to date.

Ortiz is Joshuas mandatory ,why would he fight Wilder now when Joshua can be sooner and more money ? Wilder is not going to take Ortiz fight surley now if hes getting Joshua himself end of 2018 if all Joshuas fights go as planned !

Is this an admission that they purposely didn't report the medication? Sure seems like it.

I'm also getting the impression they wanted more time before fighting Wilder. He basically said they want a tune up fight first.

These cuban fighters are always attached to some strange storylines.

Very dodgy, not disclosing that you're taking it for blood pressure. Something to hide. And then a different kind of issue of plain ******ity where Pacquaio and/or his team did not disclose any injury on the medical form before the Mayweather fight. And thereby denying Manny a legally allowed injection.

Wilder was terrified of Ortiz, and was just looking for an excuse to avoid him.

High blood pressure medication is NOT a good excuse for Wilder to back out. VADA and the corrupt WBC just do what the phony Wilder wants for some reason.

Why not tell VADA about your fighter taking blood pressure pills?? That's important information that needs to be disclosed unless they felt they were gaining a advantage somehow!! Sounds underhanded to me.

I see one cornball blaming Wilder so far. I'm convinced Ortiz was trying to cheat. Why wouldn't they tell someone about the meds? Especially with his History.

Did his manager explain why they didn't list the "blood pressure" medications on the VADA forms to begin with?
