WOW! ASININE? REALLY?Do you really hate winners that much that you have to make asinine comments? Lara is not in Mayweather's league period.
Lara don't have any pop at 160, he should of fought D. Andrade when he had the chance. Maybe the Jermell/lubin fight he can fight the winner or loser of that match.
November 17, 2014:
Junior middleweight world titleholder Demetrius Andrade, unhappy with his purse and by a lack of communication with his promoters, has dropped out of a defense scheduled against Jermell Charlo on Dec. 13 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Although Charlo promoter Golden Boy Promotions and Showtime, which was going to televise the bout as the opener on a tripleheader, announced the fight on Oct. 31, Andrade-Charlo was never finalized and now it's off...
Paul Andrade, Demetrius' father and trainer, who guides his career, was upset about how things went down making the fight.
"They make fights without talking to us," he said of DeGuardia and Pelullo. "They said they had a deal to for us to fight Charlo. We said, 'Really?' We are fine fighting Charlo but then we started talking about money and it wasn't worth the money.

July 4, 2016:
Demetrius Andrade wants to have a world title around his waist before he goes on to fight the winner of a bout between World Boxing Council titleholder Jermell Charlo and Charles Hatley.
That leaves a short list of potential foes. One name at the bottom of the list is World Boxing Association beltholder Erislandy Lara.
“Don’t get me wrong. Lara is an interesting fight because he also is slick. But that last fight against Vanes Martirosyan, he tried to stay in the pocket a little bit, he felt comfortable with somebody he’s already fought before, which I don’t know if he’ll do that with somebody like me,” Andrade told BoxingScene.com late last month.
“I don’t know. If that’s the last resort, than yeah, I’m going to take the fight,” he said.
But it otherwise doesn’t interest him as much.
“He won’t engage or try and make the fight entertaining, especially if it’s coming into my favor,” Andrade explained. “He’s just going to survive, try to run, try to do the little pitty-pat counter punches. I’m not about that right now. I’m about sitting in there, doing what I need to do best, and letting the fans know that I’m willing to get in there with anybody and put on a show and make ends meet.”
Interestingly, while Andrade doesn’t want the WBA “super” titleholder in Lara, he would be OK with facing the secondary titleholder, Jack Culcay, who holds the sanctioning body’s “regular" belt.

I've never seen Canelo fight like that before, he may be a counter puncher but the only other fight I remember him really on the back foot at times was against Mayweather. I'm not knocking the strategy he used he probably had to use it if he wanted to go the full 12Canelos a counter puncher, fighting off his back foot is how he fights. It also makes sense because GGG is an an aggressive fighter.
In no way did canelo fight like ODLH did against trinidad, you say it like its supposed to offend me or something which is odd but I think I know why. But to be quite honest, De La Hoya fought like Lara did and guess what? He lost too! And for Canelo being the "pampered Mexican" as you say, he didnt get the damn win. It was a close fight, if he were so pampered he wouldve gotten the W.
Seems like you watch boxing with bias goggles on and have trouble calling a spade a spade with your weak comparisons.
I wasn't making that comment to offend you , just to make a point both Canelo and Oscar used movement to avoid contact but Oscars was actually running, Canelo wasn't that and neither was Lara with the exception of three rounds after Canelo hurt him.
Canelo is a pampered mexican because he generates $ , he's never got a scorecard that didn't give him the benifit of the doubt. He didn't get the win because in no way shape or form did he deserve the win giving him a draw is like giving him the win. They basically Chavezed / Whittakerd him giving him the draw but in reality it should have been a L. It wasn't really a close fight 8-4 in reality 7-5 if being generous 6-6 if your on Canelos nutsComment

I tough he will be remember by the horrible decision he got in williams fight, also by making a proud warrior quit, what was his name, angulo. That was his last good fight, after that he was shot. ginger fought him after Lara, I think. And he made ginger look like an amateur throwing punches to the wind. I remember Molina, he hug himself into a draw. That is what I remember.Lara will be forever known as the guy that got into a track meet with Canelo, got KD twice by an incredibly shot Angulo, and got a gift draw against Molina.
He's a really good fighter but never quite lived up to his talent. I don't see any top level fighter giving him a shot because there's no entertainment value in fighting him.Comment

No one is remembered for losing a bad decision. Angulo was shot since around the 4th round of Kirkland fight. I thought he eeked out a victory against Canelo but he gave up the last half of the fight by backing up too much. I usually don't fault a boxer for using movement to evade an aggressive fighter but that was a straight track meet. You don't get credit for a draw with Carlos Molina.I tough he will be remember by the horrible decision he got in williams fight, also by making a proud warrior quit, what was his name, angulo. That was his last good fight, after that he was shot. ginger fought him after Lara, I think. And he made ginger look like an amateur throwing punches to the wind. I remember Molina, he hug himself into a draw. That is what I remember.
I'm assuming you're a fan. I like him too but he hasn't lived up to his talent. Things aren't going to change all of a sudden in his favor.Comment

Fools still complaining about the Canelo fight, a fight in which if you wanna see some running then that's the fight!
And idiots comparing what Canelo did to GGG's face to what Lara did to the ring platform is beyond ignorance!
One fighter used the ring to set up counters and evade to get better angles while the other did it to get space and to recover from them bodyshots Canelo was laying!
Canelo beat both and is top 5 pound for pound!
Who else in boxing has Lara and GGG on their resume!? That's two guys that most don't want to fight at one point or another!Comment
