Finally.....Jo Jo Diaz has climbed the rankings and it's about time to see if he's got the skills and determination to fight on a world class level.

It will be very interesting to see if Gary Russell Jr. decides to fight Jo Jo or not because Jo Jo doesn't bring the money that Santa Cruz, Mares, or Frampton do so it wouldn't shock me if he vacates and goes for the bigger money fights.

The negotiations for this particular fight will be very interesting. HBO has backed Jo Jo heavy or these last two years while Showtime has given Gary Russell headline fights when he does actually fights.

Good to see Russell in the ring again, but he is taking too much time in between fights. I still favor him to win. Hope it leads to a match with LSC or Frampton.

Russell sat on that title like a chicken on an egg and his coat of rust is bound to acquire a little decay. JoJo doesn't look ready to me, but Russell is coming off another long lay off. As weird as it sounds JoJo might be able to get him in deep water, where the rust will seize up.
