What a load of crap...and Stiverne to boot. Who's going to watch that?

This is crap, but at least we can get it out of the way. Unless Wilder unified immediately after, we would have gotten it anyways.
He needs to destroy Stiverne in 6 so we never have to hear his name with a title fight ever again.Comment

I've been a massive Wilder detractor for a while, and the criticisms I've had up until this point still stand - Luis Ortiz failing this test does not re-write Wilder's path so far.
But in this case, it is all on Ortiz. What a ****ing idiot. He FINALLY got the big break he was looking for - no more boogeyman, put up or shut up time. And he blew it.Comment

I do tend to think there will be another fight for both guys between their next fights and them fighting each other so I suspect there is still the opportunity to see Wilder show us more.
But I think Joshua can fight anywhere. I suspect they could have that fight in Vegas and get a record number of UK cats flying over. And if you can sell in Vegas you aren't going to need to sell anywhere else unless you want to cuz Vegas prices will beat the revenue of any other city to put the fight on at.
Granted Joshua isn't all the way there yet and fighting in Vegas next vs Wilder might be throwing away money by not marinating Joshua's star appeal a lil more in the US first, but I think something as simple as a co-headlining fight with Joshua and Wilder in 2018 = a sold out show in Vegas in Summer/Fall.Comment

At this stage I would say Ortiz team is just dumb. If indeed they weren't cheating and the prescription is legit, why not list it on the sheet. If they were indeed cheating, why not go get the fake prescription from a crooked doctor ahead of time to cover your tracks. Sounds like they got caught with their pants down while cheating.Comment
